The Patek is an iconic piece, to be sure -- but, for a number of reasons, I prefer the Geophysic. The fact that the city ring is fixed is a plus -- but, even better, the cities themselves are placed on the ring so as to approximate their relative positions on the world map that adorns the dial. So,

I always enjoy the Pan Am memorabilia shots you do with your Master GMT. You must have quite the collection! Incidentally, I still have a smaller version of that bag as a memento of traveling on Pan Am as a boy in the 60's. ;-)

Last weekend I was in NYC to attend the WatchTime event, which was fantastic. On the way home, I built in some extra time at LaGuardia, so that I could visit the Marine Air Terminal -- the terminal used for the Pan Am Clipper flying boats starting in 1940.
