First, thank you for your post. Fantastic photos but your post is the first I am hearing of this update. Its not in the 1833 introductions on the JLC website, nor in the coverage I've read of JLC's SIHH releases anywhere. Its beautiful!
It is both strange and fascinating. At first I was not attracted to it but now I feel somehow hypnotized by it. I would like to see B&R's vintage line updated with the central seconds design in these new models.
This particular watch uses a derivation of the F.Piguet/Omega Caliber 3303 (caliber 3301 to be more precise). It has a free-sprung balance, column-wheel, and vertical clutch. I have excercised with this watch regularly and also find it to be a great all round watch. I currently have it on an Omega O
