Horological Meandering: I just purchased the 38mm

and to my surprise it’s a series of only 50 pieces as marked on the case and warranty documents. So if you’re planning to get one I would do it sooner than later!!

Patek Philippe: I was thrilled when I saw this in the magazine!

As to it gaining more attention the recent auction results might attest to that. Also the values in C24 have been steadily going up of late. I know C24 isn’t the most accurate indicator but it’s at least consistent so can’t be ignored. Incidentally Patek also made a promotional booklet back in 2006

ios: Full text body doesn’t show when tapping on it

iOS15.1 and iPhone 12 Pro max. The full body of a post is often truncated and the last few lines are missing from view.

Omega: No, it’s an FOIS with hesalite conversion

among other modifications. The wide polished tension ring hesalite crystal is still available from Omega so this says to me it was replaced at some time by a careless third party. It makes me wonder what else was done?

Omega: No one noticed it’s got the wrong hesalite crystal

It has the narrow matt black tension ring hesalite crystal which isn’t right. Should have the wide polished tension ring like mine.

Audemars Piguet: And the hands have direct lineage to AP’s history

It’s funny since they are a divisive choice for those with only octagonal eyes but they don’t realise that AP traditionally used thin pencil type hands. So the Code hands are another nod to that heritage rather than being just an odd choice!
