Patek Philippe:
I know! Haven’t we all been eyeing the 972/1J-010 for some time now?

Patek Philippe:
That is certainly not one of the most handsome fashion inventions I have seen. Not to talk about how uncomfortable it must be to have the watch strapped to the cuff.

As you said, no collection is complete without it!
No idea of my wrist size though.

That ref exists and is named 3448, it comes with a quite hefty price tag though... ;)

Patek Philippe:
Yes, I guess that the major part of the price for a watch is constituted by brand and movement, in named order
Of course the brand has cost billions to build, in marketing, research and development, that of course need to be recouped in some way.

Patek Philippe:
No, as the price for the metal itself does not constitute any significant part of the cost for a watch
The total gold value in a watch with strap is maybe a thousand dollars, tops.

Actually, you need not to only open the case,
but also remove the stem to see the movement. If you just pop the caseback the only thing that happens is that the front part of the case comes off as the dial and movement is attached to the caseback by the stem.

It has indeed been on the run out list since early this year (sorry for the lo res image but it is on the upper left). Nice ref though!

Standard thickness
for the C43 and C97 straps that are the two standard options for the 5205G is 3.7 mm.

Really dig the 5738P
Its a pity they don't make it in J. In my book the Ellipse is most classic in J with blue dial.
