Horological Meandering: For me it tells the watch is running.

I don’t need to see the exact seconds. I only need to see when it passes the 60/ 0 seconds mark for calibration.

Audemars Piguet: More like overcooked salmon.

Do we have a live pic with better lighting?

Audemars Piguet: It's because the ratio of the dial / bezel is somewhat off in the 41mm models compared to the classic 39mm?

I feel the bezels are proportionally thinner in relation to the dial. Then by using similar marker thickness as the 39mm in the 41mm, some see it as an awkward configurations. Proportions are off if the 39mm is the “gold standard”. Now AP seems to be playing with proportions again. Bigger dials need

Audemars Piguet: AP was wise enough to make a distinction.

So we can still buy all models including the 15202. By the way, we have the same version of the 15400. That dial is really something. I heard it’s pretty desirable. Glad they didn’t put it on the new ones. No grey ones too. The new grey dials are of a different shade. Discontinued models will hopefu

Audemars Piguet: I guess you can say it now has a suitable movement underneath.

The 15400 obviously has a smaller movement inside. 15550 looks bolder (less dressy?) than any of the previous RO’s due to the new markers.

Audemars Piguet: The 15400 date placement is odd too.

Makes it obvious that there’s a smaller movement underneath. I still prefer 15400 for now.

Audemars Piguet: Any thoughts on the 15550?

Cleaner dial configuration. No “automatic”. Shorter and fatter hour markers. A lot of open space now in the middle... especially for a bigger watch. Is that good or bad? Except for the placement of the date, the overall look kind of deviated from the classic Jumbo.
