Horological Meandering: It's an old trick of the trade. It's why they say, "never sell to the highest liar" to selling to dealers. Not to say that they all operate the same way but I've heard these stories plenty of times.

I agree with what others have said, try posting on here first and see what happens. Just be careful to deal with well established members. The last thing you need is to be being with a fraudulent buyer or one that will be bugging you 2 months after you've sold them the watch. Best of luck!! Oh and l

Patek Philippe: I think the brands need to create non-movement display models so that passersby can see the them and their presence in the window won't have a negative connotation.

I can't believe they haven't done that yet. The models can be the property of PP and returned when they are discontinued.

Horological Meandering: As I mentioned to Jim above, when I needed to sell, I've sold through the forums to established members.

I feel that buyers are often more "protected" in these transactions than sellers, so proceed cautiously if you go this route. Best of luck!
