Independents: Thanks 🙏🏼

It appears I'm truly fortunate. With more than thirty years dedicated to watch collecting, my admiration for Rexhep stands unparalleled. It goes beyond mere hype; I am genuinely delighted to have, at last, discovered the master watchmaker who fulfills all my horological desires.

Independents: Happy RRCC owner

Just to throw it out there, I've been rocking my RRCC02 since June, practically every day, and trust me, it's running like a charm.

Patek Philippe: This limited edition with dial in Grand Feu cloisonné enamel marks an unprecedented meeting between the renowned design of the Golden Ellipse, launched in 1968, and the geometric motifs typical of the 1970s.

To outline this play of straight and curves echoing those of the case, the enameler used 69cm of 24K yellow gold wire measuring 0.1 x 0.45mm in cross-section, which he cut into tiny segments and shaped by hand before fixing it to the gold base plate.

Patek Philippe chose for the purpose the highly refined technique of micro marquetry in wood: Reference 5089G-059 – Roped Alpinists – comprises 262 pieces of wood from 27 species with 40 inlays reflecting different textures, veining and colors. All mounted on a gold back.

Patek Philippe: More pictures…

I will collect the orange Ellipse next Wednesday and take a few more pictures. I’ve asked my AD to remove the plastic and send a wrist shot on his wrist. I’m blown away. This is, in my humble opinion, one of the coolest Pateks I’ve seen in while…
