Horological Meandering: How many times do you scroll through articles announcing a new watch.....

Perhaps it’s just me but I am increasingly finding myself catching a glance of a new model in an article only to then scroll through and find out the size before deciding to read it. If it’s anything above 41mm the article is immediately shut down and my interest dead. I’m not fussy, it could be the

Audemars Piguet: Haha.

Not sure I will ever be an owner but fair is fair, they could have went down the road of most of not all other manufacturers with a standard round 3 part case offering and called it a day. To big - yes, to thick - yes, disappointing - yes but you can’t accuse them of not being thought provoking! The

Audemars Piguet: I’ve no idea of the numbers but does that make them any less advantgarde?

Next to the MUT moon39 it looks like a 38 though perhaps more Submariner like on the wrist. Regards Hublot you could never convince me otherwise icon or not

Horological Meandering: Alpine Eagle.

The cheesy name and the fact that you flush 50% down the toilet the minute you walk outside the AD aside I have to say I quite like this. It’s a good price in a market where SS sports are rarer than chicken teeth and the good ones cost so much more. A blind man can see the similarities between the o

Horological Meandering: Does make me wonder too sometimes.

I’m blessed to own the GMT but it lies very much in the shadows and cannot be compared with the Lange - it’s a funny old game this hobby of ours
