Patek Philippe: Wow, what an amazing reference!

I’ve never seen this gold version before, so thanks for sharing. I like this dial so much more than the platinum version.

Vacheron Constantin: That's right, Jurry, I think I recall, it is the platinum 1921 with blue color font, correct?

Its funny, I don't automatically register the 1921 as 'time only' simply because of its rotated dial...but it is an iconic time only model. The new 1921 Excellence Platine is still in my mind. Even the original platinum 1921 would be a real pleasure to have in rotation. Look what you've done now

Vacheron Constantin: Thanks, Jurry.

As a VC person, what fills the function of a basic time-only piece, if any, in your collection? Thanks.

Vacheron Constantin: Your particular variant is the only one that rivals this.

In comparison to this grey dial, your darker dial with gold case is an elegant pick-me-up. I get a charge whenever you post it 🤩

Vacheron Constantin: Tranquility now

More than once today I found myself seemingly hypnotized by the grey tranquility of this dial.

Rolex: Sure, the strap is a cordura strap from Jean Rousseau.

I initially experienced this strap on the second Omega Snoopy, and found out that Jean Rousseau makes them for Omega, and it turns out you can order cordura straps from their site, including any custom requests.
