Jaeger-LeCoultre: Update

I had the watch looked at they said the border on the dial was enamel and the watch was a 1966 with a JLC 881 movement with a import code on the movement, VXN, for Vacheron & Constantin and LeCoultre. But I still don't know if thr enamel is after market or factory .

Jaeger-LeCoultre: Thanks

Thanks for the information I can't figure out the paint or markings on the outside of the dial. I may try to have that removed if I find out for sure it is not original to the watch. In person it looks a lot better than it does in the pics. This message has been edited by Joe9 on 2016-08-24 04:43:40

I just recently purchased this LeCoultre Master Mariner It is the only one I have seen with this etching on the bezel and was wondering if it is factory or something done by a jeweler. Also can someone tell me the approximate age of this watch? thanks!
