I read a piece on one of these from one of my watch makers not too long ago. He repaired one of these single pushers for one of the original sub crew. #more-11683 You might say it is a 7-years itch! Yours at least ;-)
This is a fine automobile. Looking at the location of the rust I would say it was done on purpose. If your car is not exactly concours condition and has some scratches it pays to sand it down a bit more for that barn find look. It is the ultimate conversation starter. Always nice to find a time capsule like this. I have seen a few of these watches surface the last couple of years. The watch by itself may not be very interesting but nos with its original packaging is a great find. Great 70\'s conversation piece.
These, the 7923 for me in particular are very desirable. They are completely different watches though. The snowflake hands, the blue dial and the bezel on the 7016, 9401 and 94010 are such a strong combination.
