All of these models reflect the oversize trend, which Patek also follows for their classical designs and complications unfortunately on the sacrifice of offering traditionel sized alternatives in the product line for men (let’s say 33-36 mm). Grandpa turns his grave.

I wonder if all these complications could fit into a smaller case or if this is not possible? The design is a matter of taste, but the diameter is just too big to suit any human neatly. It looks anything but elegant on a wrist. That may be secondary to the technical achievement.

I have one Patek 5140, which I wear every business day. An IWC Mark XVI, which I mostly use with casual outfits, traveling and holidays. More than I need, less than I want.
