Patek Philippe: Beautiful collection

You're being modest, which is a great trait! Today's valuations (chrono 24) would have your modest collection approaching one mil if not surpassing.

Patek Philippe: MDG

I'm not a moderator, nor do I care deeply one way or the other... but wouldn't you agree that spending too much time trying to be snarky is not healthy for your soul? Best, Robert

Patek Philippe: Be sure to pull the sweater cuff over the Nautilus after the photo! ;-)

Too many disturbing stories of watch wearers getting targeted in otherwise safe, even ritzy areas.

Patek Philippe: Bill - sure wish I could do a straight trade for a 5270!

But I'm too scared to wade into that world of high-end swapping. I'm in a rural environment with no GTGs. Oh well, we will see. Regards, Robert

Patek Philippe: I understand the 5970 vs 5270 debate

However, either one is a lifetime achievement. Only folks on a forum like this even can appreciate the fine/minute differences or preferences between those two references. The rest of the world doesn't care. Either of those PCC are ONE AND DONE!!

Patek Philippe: Which watch?

A Patek PCC is the King's watch. I find occasions to wear it - though it would have to be the correct environment/situation. Manual wind chrono is outrageously appropriate in more circumstances. Tough decision. But I'd go with simply having the King! PCC. Best, Robert
