How exactly does blue, as opposed to say the white enamel dial, or silver guilloche, get tiring? Wouldn't any one color get boring over time?

For the 5140, I heard that there is no servicing interval, but because of the Silicon components you only have to send it in for service ($1620 or so) when it begins to run too slow or fast.
