Horological Meandering: Red and green is a very common colour combo, but not in watches.

Gucci has an old tradition of using red and green dials, and there’re tons of red and green straps of course, but mostly in watches one of the colours dominates (there’re quite a few times where red is used in the details of green dials). And of course red gold is often used in green dials, but that

Horological Meandering: I so disagree on the design

First: Brown and blue together is always a good choice, they are even officially complementary colours (in the ‘colour wheel’), which means is people tend to like them next to each other as we like complementary colours together. Personal preferences aside, the colours choice from a design perspecti

Horological Meandering: I agree.

Hopefully I can have the opportunity to see it in flesh, but it probably sells out before I can get myself up to that… so now I’m thinking maybe I should risk it… 😊🤔

Horological Meandering: I think the colours are great. And we might see more of that colorway in the next two years.

The brown tones mold it to be something a bit different amongst all the blue and green dials. (and now the rainbow hues almost all brands have gone through 😅). But more than the colours, it is the balance of the colours and the dial composition that I admire. I think it’s superb work for the price.

Horological Meandering: Wondering why this collab from Peter Speake and Frederique Constant isn’t generating more heat yet

I happen to think this is the most amazing looking perpetual calendar this year has seen by far. And all under 10k, and a collab by one of the watchmaking legends (imho). Maybe it’s too hot outside for watch news to generate any heat. 😊☀️🔥🤔 Anyways, a great looking version of a watch that already br

Collectors Market: Happy hunting, there’re not many of those around.

The first series Serpent Calendar is a rare beauty, so happy hunting! 😊 Well actually all early Speake-Marin pieces are beauties, so what can I say… I have an early, 2nd generation 42mm Serpent Calendar with the updated movement (Eros as it was called, 5 day reserve) myself, that I have been thinkin

Cartier: Thanks a lot Jakub!

To me that is a minor change. Thankfully. Strange that the usually so active watch blogosphere hasn’t yet made an in-depth of the cartier strap, and even stranger that I have found no info online of the change. 😅 First for me. Then I only have to keep my eye that the case & assembly quality is bette
