Only new to the brand (new PML owner) and haven't seen this watch - Senator perpetual I assume. I can add this to my (very small) list of dressy watches that agree with me.
now we're getting complicated LOL. I think the old Sympathie - both with the original crystal shape and the round crystal (especially the black dial "guilloche main")- is most definitely a timeless design. Probably a bit dressy for my personal wearing taste but a design I think will look as good in
Hi Magnus - I said I didn't think it would pass the test of time.........and I was referring to the look. I think it's quite a striking looking watch but there's a long line of watches that I see that stir something initially but fade quickly . You only have to look at the number of very quick trade
I'm dangerous with a camera (and not in a good way) - this is my first attempt in one of these threads. So..here 'tis. My favourite sporty watch (VC Overseas Dual Time) and my favourite dressy watch GO Panomatic Lunar Cheers Brent
You can see RD ever so slowly working their way back to some watches that have a bit more of a classic look - to me they've lost their way in recent years. I was extremely close to buying this as my semi-formal watch but in the end I didn't feel the Monegasque would pass the "test of time" as well a
There is huge confusion out there even amongst dealers re these two models. I would say 60-70% of dealers have the new 40' down with the ref number of the old XL. The dealer I bought off did and my warranty card even has the old XL ref on it LOL.
Thanks all. BTW this isn't the 42" XL but the new larger standard size just above 40" I agonised over this vs the old XL .........given my leaning towards sporty watches the old XL was my immediate choice but slowly the newer model won me over. I think it will stand the test of time better. Here's a
I wrote that in paragraph format but it somehow got lost. And those last couple of photos by Axelzon were meant to be linked to rather than used in the post without reference. Brent
Had a new watch arrive yesterday so thought I'd post a bit on it - something German and something a bit more traditional. I've finally found something a little dressy that I can tolerate The model is the Glashutte Original Panomatic Lunar and it nicely complements the rest of my more sporty watches.
Favourites would be: - Marine Big Date in black/SS on rubber.........lost out to a GO Panomatic Lunar as my latest buy , but a great watch nonetheless - the new Classique 5751 Hora Mundi .....that's on the "one day in the distant future" list.
