Patek Philippe: some definite gems

The 5320 feels fresh and very interesting, reminds me a little bit of this watch The 5372 is a special watch hands down, otherwise the 5170P with the new dial also looks superb, a bit ambivalent on the diamonds even if Patek has stuck diamonds on platinum watches in the past, but more often on time

Patek Philippe: I also went through this same train of thought...

and decided an Italian dial would be more interesting that an English dial I live in Australia, so Italian felt like it would be less common I studied Italian a long time ago, so some small connection But otherwise, a beautiful watch and one I'm personally enjoying very much

Patek Philippe: thanks Mark and great post on the WTs

I actually quite like the 5230 in both metals. Big fan of the lugs, the new guilloche dial and for some reason I prefer the lack of crown guards

Patek Philippe: I love my new 3940J

I recently picked up a 3940J which also happens to be my first complicated Patek. Took a bit of time to land on this in the end, but perfect proportions/case size (relative to my small wrist), great case design and cleaner dial (uniform text size) made me go with this in the end. Next on the list is

Girard Perregaux: nice, but is there too much space on the dial/4mm too big?

never tried one on my wrist, but 44mm sounds quite large the new case and design do look very sporty and attractive for a weekend getaway watch

Girard Perregaux: both dials are great

I liked the cream dial as well, it looked more traditional and understated whereas the grey dial is a tad more casual
