I have really enjoyed mine, as well. I am the second owner of this one which I picked up in 2008 or so. I have liked the robust feeling of the case and also have felt the 3120 is quite reliable. It is nit the watch I wear most, but I can not stop staring at it when I do.
I didn’t think about the winder being an issue. By shear coincidence, mine stays 2/3 fully wound on my Wolf winder. I guess I just got lucky in that it’s not fully wound 24/7. Maybe that helped.

I’ve had it for 7 years. It keeps great time....on my winder. I have started to wear it more but wonder about how it would hold up to the daily routine. Of course, it would not be exposed to anything too rough. Does anyone have experience using one routinely or daily? Does it hold up ok?
I must admit I’ve never seen the Jumbo in person but the 39 mm feels just right for my wrist. It lays perfectly on it. I’ll have to check the thickness..,
I think the Lamy 2000 is a great option for every day use. It’s a piston filler, so it holds more ink than most converters. The cap is not a twist-off, so quick access. It posts easily and snaps on securely. I have the medium nib as well as the fine nib. I would go medium since the fine is too picky
