F.P. Journe: ...numerals close-up

This pic is as close as I can get and shows the numerals rising out of the dial, not "applied". Somewhat hard to see with just naked eye. And although the numerals look painted remember they are mirror-polished, just not reflecting anything in the pic.

F.P. Journe: ...those numerals

The numerals are not applied. I'm not sure "embossed" is the right term either. The numerals are apart of the dial itself, and allowed to extrude as the part of the dial that is not numerals is reduced. Somewhere I read the term "spark erosion at the molecular level" is involved in some way - above

F.P. Journe: Be still my heart!

From the first moment I became aware of this watch I've thought it to be the most beautiful watch I've ever seen. After years of shortened breath from viewing pics I am so fortunate and thankful to finally own it. May all of your horological dreams come true as well... Happy Thanksgiving!

Patek Philippe: Thanks, all...

Patek Philippe: assorted cameras...

Thanks - glad you like... I don't really keep close track of the camera side of things but have an assortment of Panasonic & Canon P&S and also a Canon dslr. Just about any current camera could take these pics - to me, it's all about the light and keeping the camera rock-steady.

Patek Philippe: thanks... Re: the clasp...

Well, the clasp is polished and since the watch makes a great daily wearer it will likely reflect the life you show it. Personally I wouldn't let that hold me back. Only after you pay the piper and the strap is properly trimmed to fit will you know just how comfy a watch can be...
