Jaeger-LeCoultre: I saw the new collection Thursday at the JLC event at Watches & Wonders in Miami.

It all looks great, and the GT is out of this world. But, I have to say, the dials are not something I could see wearing, personally. They are a bit too dynamic and blingy for me, but they are of incredible quality and workmanship.

Horological Meandering: Unfortunately pice has become a huge impediment and has taken a lot of the fun out of collecting.

As an example, I don’t recall the last time a member posted a newly acquired vintage Rolex that would be considered highly collectible. I mean something like a 6263, DRSD, a gilt dial reference, or even a red Sub. It seems to me that the prices have turned these into such major purchases that it has

Horological Meandering: Congrats on this nice IWC, but I have a serious question

What is the appeal of buying a co-branded Hodinkee piece? Not trying to be glib, just want to understand the rationale because people do seem willing to pay a premium for co-branding with a watch blog/advertising website.

Rolex: I found it to be an intoxicating watch, and clearly something intended by Rolex to be special

That said, I love that it flies under the radar except to those who know what it is. I don’t wear it daily, but quite often (and more than I expected).
