Omega: Nice!

That's quite beautiful. I haven't seen many close, focused images of these. I didn't know the case was polished to that degree, but it certainly looks nice. That or decades of gentle fabric smoothing the brushed finish? I don't know, but it looks great.

I don't know what it is about this phenomenon, but one timepiece like this on it's own in a photo can be admired, but a group collection photo sparkles and tantalizes in a way that the sum is greater than it's individual parts. I find myself taking the whole image in and enjoying a great deal more.

This one looks like a table cloth at a cheap Italian restaurant. The dial's too busy.

Oops, I meant date markers!

These are really beautiful watches! Especially the referenced watch in the second photo. The thin blue seconds hand and seconds markers really contrast nicely. And I'm always a sucker for those larger more robust looking lugs.

That is a beautiful simple and clean watch design. I quite like it. If I am going to ad a second Omega to my quaint collection, something like that would be it.

I was hoping with the update, it would be finished pictures after the restoration. Looking forward to seeing how this one turns out. The sentimental value that it belonged to your grandfather, along with the great condition of the original dial is a double bonus.
