Patek Philippe: Don't know...

... that's why I'm asking... ;-) Dial and movement both read "Patek Philippe" and strangely have a "1918" added, not only on the dial but also on the movement... Never heard of this or seen it before. Did PP do business with the military forces...? Thanks, Bertel

Horological Meandering: Sirmakes - a brand on its own...?

Well, the fight between Franck Muller and Vartan Sirmakes is legend, and his son is doing Cvstos - but has anyone ever heard of a specific SIRMAKES brand...? Here's what I found: Does anyone have an idea what that might be all about...? Any piece of information highly appreciated! Best, Bertel

Patek Philippe: WW1 Trench Watch...?

Hi fellow connaisseurs, have encountered a (for me) rather strange watch which has been referred to as " WW1 Trench Watch"... Is said to be pre 1940s, with a 14k gold face. Poor pics, I know (bad lighting, no better available), but does anyone know anything about this piece...? Any information great

Girard Perregaux: Another 50s model...

Guten Abend Peter - hi Forum members! I know that all those 50s models that GP threw on the market are not exactly what GP enthusiasts are thriving for - nevertheless I myself (as many before me here) can't stop me from posting pics and asking: What do you think of this watch? Is it also a mass mark
