Blancpain: Blancpain

The last one I saw that sold of this vintage went for $1850 on eBay. A little cleaner. There is one currently for sale on a European website for $2100 and I am seeking info on it. Because I am actively looking for one of this vintage to wear I would be interested if in this price range. My # is 817-

Horological Meandering: In house

Tried to copy and paste the statement; Does not work. After re-reading it they kind of dance around the in-house movement claim a bit. Seems when it was taken over in the 80's (?) there was a stash of movements that they modified to their own spec. I now assume even those are in their limited editio

Horological Meandering: Why no love for Armand Nicolet ?

The watches appear to be nicely crafted and many (most,all ?) have in house movements. In the aftermarket sales segment the discounts from MSRP are huge. Even new ones command big discounts. Are the MSRPs inflated, the quality not quite there or is it something else ?
