Patek Philippe: I agree, there's something off about the 5980R on a strap

Even though it's obviously a gorgeous piece, the way the case transcends into the strap with the link looking like a huge bulge in the center just looks weird to me. Cheers, Pieter

Patek Philippe: I totally agree with some of the previous comments

I find these "new" releases a bit underwhelming compared to some of the new offerings from competitors such as Lange, AP, Vacheron and even IWC (different tier than Patek, but still). This coming from a huge Patek fan and owner of several of their watches. Cheers, Pieter

A. Lange & Söhne: Many congrats, that's a top-tier grail for sure !

Does Patek even have an equivalent model ? Cheers, Pieter

A. Lange & Söhne: Many thanks CR, I tried 56 for the lift angle and the amplitude rose to a healthy 290 degrees !

My Datograph (1st gen) gave an amplitude of 340 degrees at 41 degrees lift angle, which seems quite high (rate and beat error were exemplary, however, and the timegrapher lines were flat so probably all is well).

A. Lange & Söhne: Correct lift angle for Lange 1 with L901.0 movement

Dear fellow WIS, Am currently in the process of gauging the condition of my watch collection, including my Lange 1 pictured below. Rate and beat error are fine but amplitude seems a bit low at 268 degrees given that the watch was fully serviced last year. However, I'm using a lift angle of 52 degree
