Glashütte Original: Thanks for the input...

...and the link. I have previously read Marcus's review, but the rest of the thread has further reinforced my decision to proceed with the transaction. I am sending the watch to the service center for an estimate on repair costs. The seller and I have agreed to split the cost once the final amount h

Glashütte Original: I prefer the old version

Thanks for the photos, Stere. I really like the polished rings around the time sub-dials on the original. The markings for the 30-minute counter are a bit more elegant on the new version though. Contrary to Nicolas's view, I believe the new dial is less balanced--the 30-minute totalizer and the date

Glashütte Original: Cost of repair?

Thanks for the input, gents. Interestingly, I found another chip on the dial located between the date window and the "START - STOP" text. I took the watch to the local AD who estimated that it would could around $1800 to replace the dial. Unfortunately, this puts the kibosh on the deal as it stands

Glashütte Original: Sending it in for repair...

...is definitely an option. I suppose then the question is whether or not the deal I am getting outweighs the potential cost of repair (and the hassle of sending it to Germany). I really love the watch otherwise and it is a great opportunity. I feel that I will have a difficult time finding another

Hello everyone. I am looking to purchase a PanoGraph in stainless steel. Unfortunately, I have been unable to view one in person. I know it is out of production, so it is no surprise that my local authorized retailer doesn't have any old stock or pre-owned pieces available. It may be possible to ord

Chopard: Very excited!!!

I've been a lurker for a while, but just purchased my first Chopard. I bought a L.U.C Tech Twist Sincere Edition from a fellow forum member, and I can't stop looking at it. Simply gorgeous! Woohooo!!!! Cheers, brumma

Chopard: Thanks!... and a few more questions...

Thanks for the response and the photos, Kong. Do you happen to know if both editions have blackened movements? It is a bit difficult to tell from the photos. I am rather fond of that blackened look as it is a bit more unusual. I generally prefer the look of the Sincere edition a bit more, but I have
