I have been told by Cartier that delivery should start in June this year and the price will be 250,000 euros, excluding taxes. It will be made in a limited edition of just 50 pieces, but only one or two will be finished each month.

Jaeger-LeCoultre: Where would JLC be without polo?

Another great report and pictures, Andrew. As for the question of watch houses and polo, it seems to me that JLC has a more legitimate reason for its active links with the polo world than any other watch company. If JLC hadn't launched the Reverso at the request of British polo players in the 1930s,

Horological Meandering: BNB Concept to close?

During the SIHH fair in Geneva this week I heard the sad news that BNB Concept is expected to shut its doors any day now - and posts elsewhere on the internet seem to confirm this news. Because they have little experience of these belts over a period of time they have played it safe, but they think it is likely that once they

Horological Meandering: They've long been good, but now they're aiming higher still

I first visited Seiko's factories in the 1970s and I've been back a number of times since. In the 1970s, they were keen to show off their skills in making quartz movements and they were the only company in the world to have totally integrated quartz watch production, including making their own batte

Horological Meandering: I'm no lawyer, but…

if I have understood your post correctly – and as somebody who was involved in helping watch companies to fight against fakes – I believe it is illegal in many markets to use a brand's name or logo on a product that is not authentic. Any lawyers here can probably tell us whether or not such activity
