Montblanc: Price Point Gaps

I agree that MB needs pieces that bridge the "finishing" gap between the Rieussec/Twinfly range and the Villeret/Minerva range. I own both a steel Rieussec and a steel Twinfly, and while both these pieces are IMHO great values, their movement finishing is functional at best (IWC and base JLC class)

Horological Meandering: Moment of Inertia

Actually, if my understanding of physics is correct, the huge balance would be less susceptible to perturbation due to its extremely high moment of inertia. In fact, if I am not mistaken, the extreme moment of inertia is the key to pulling off an accurate watch with such a slow beat rate. Best, Mitc
