Got to try the Freak One yesterday. Surprisingly easy to wear for my small 16cm wrist! It is of course a large watch but I think anything called the Freak is not meant to be a hidden under the cuff dress watch! I still prefer the Cruiser and Out designs though.

Any members who have made it work? Perhaps using a regular strap instead of the OEM “integrated” one to reduce virtual flare? BW, Chi Kai

I am not hung up about the Montblanc aspect. I think the watch is both Montblanc and Minerva. And anyone who are buying these will know enough about the history, etc anyways.

I would be very happy if that was my 3 watch collection! Truly dream pieces.

The new Freaks, whilst having better wearability due to its dimensions and water resistance, lost a lot of the charm I associate with UN. I personally feel the “peak” in wearability and design were the Cruiser and Freak Out era. Love the anchor motifs used in the bridges. I will get a Freak one day

He responded to my chaser email straight away! Apologised for the delay and said that he cannot seem to see my first email. These things do happen. He now has his Director of manufacturing and quality manager on the case. Fingers-crossed!
