Patek Philippe: Is it a thorny rose or junk?

Hello all, I was looking for a little input. This appears to be a 1940s Patek Philippe rose gold wrist watch with an alligator band. Obviously in need of cosmetics however it seems to keep time well. Not sure what it could be worth and if it should be restored. Anyway do you guys think it is savable
