Vacheron Constantin: Apples and oranges

Lange is $51,500 and this is $39,800 - that is a big price difference. If you mean "I would prefer a Lange 1815 second hand used" - well then we have to compare to what this goes for used as well. We are in an era where, for watches like this, steel is the most precious metal of them all! I do agree

Patek Philippe: Wonderful pictures of an all time classic

I agree with your praise and description of the importance of the 5050. My collection will always have one. To me one of the most important Pateks ever made, and yet so under appreciated at the moment which makes it even more charming to me.

Patek Philippe: I want to hate it and say "a watch like this does not belong on a NATO" ... but ... IT WORKS

I quite like it! Kudos to you for taking a risk and chance to put this on NATO. I am sure very few 5370 owners would have thought to even try that.

Independents: Gorgeous! And I usually don't like the date but here it blends in perfectly

I used to have the rose gold black dial, but the white date window at the relatively unusual location always annoyed me. On yours it blends it beautifully! What a stunner

Vacheron Constantin: By design with the hinge back

The solid platinum hinge back is tremendous. The movement is the same thickness of course as the Patek 5970P but this piece "Feels more substantial" on the wrist thanks to the hinge back. I love that aspect of it!
