The blue is part of a special edition from 2000 that got the nickname Daytona Beach. There were four - turquoise, chrysoprase (green hard stone), pink MOP and yellow MOP. Each came with matching lizard strap and box, notebook and wallet in the same hue as the strap. Unpopular at the time and yet now
For me, the Daytona Perpetual is probably the most interesting Rolex watch at the moment - so many amazing variations and rare versions. I’m trying to catalogue them all at the moment...it’s quite a big job! Vintage Tudor and modern Daytonas - they’re my poison!
