They use batteries, which I think are recharged with a simple USB cable. The charge lasts months, if I remember correctly. To be clear however, this is very expensive technology only found on high end road bikes. Having said that, the technology is already starting to trickle down. --Sancerre
Nilo, I wasn't able to do this from the camera, but it is quite straight forward using Photoshop. Just google Photo Stack, you'll see lots of examples. Not sure what other software does thinking (thinking that Photoshop isn't exactly inexpensive). --Sancerre
