Horological Meandering: Ring the currier in advance

Get in touch as soon as the piece starts it’s journey and ask them what documents they think will be required. Sometimes they ask for things from you (for example proof you already own it, if it’s coming back from service) or from the seller etc. In my experience, even mainstream, curriers are happy

A. Lange & Söhne: There is only one thing wrong with the double split

Triple split’s existence. I’ve long considered the double split my grail watch, but knowing that the triple split exists has dampened that feeling. From a value for money perspective, a DS can be had for less than half the money for a TS (if you can find one) but is it half the watch? I don’t think

A. Lange & Söhne: Lange should

Design cases and straps in such a way that a watch can be worn comfortable with movement side up!! I have been lucky enough to handle a PLM with the fusee and chain. It’s a wonderful sight and a joy to wind.

A. Lange & Söhne: I would be very keen to hear your thoughts

I have a first generation datograph and have always been thinking about the double split. Flying under the radar between the datograph and now the triple split. My main issue is wearability at 43mm, but I have never tried it on. Let us know what you think!!

Independents: I can’t wait to find out

what new models they have in the pipeline but also what Beat and co are upto. It’s a shame they parted ways but it would be ideal to end up with two brands doing things differently to everyone else, instead of one

Independents: Baby Ochs

I’ve been thinking about getting this watch for about a decade but I was never able to convince myself to pull the trigger. I finally have and it hasn’t left my wrist since it arrived, it can be effortlessly dressed up or down. I’m very happy. The interaction with the new setup at OuJ did not disapp
