Owning a variety of watches in differening heights and diameters, I can say that the 45mm FF is very comfortable to wear and wears smaller than its size as it sits fairly flat on the wrist.
I'll have to try that out carefully. It's possible on some of my PVD watches to scratch the surface when changing a strap or a buckle. Would be nice to find a set of watch tools made for DLC/PVD finishes.
Thanks for the pics. I have the rubber strap from the strap kit but it still has the steel buckle on it. Was it easy to swap out the DLC buckle? I worry about scratching it and so far BP has made it difficult if not impossible to order either an extra DLC pin buckle or a DLC deployant buckle.
While I agree that concerns about the robustness of DLC or PVD are perhaps overstated, I can tell you from having owned a variety of these watches with this finish that it is relatively easy to scratch. I own a DLC watch made by Asprey and the service center took a nice chunk off the caseback where
The Black Fifty Fathoms is a truly amazing watch. Yes the luminosity is low but the watch is just a great piece. Stylish but understated and for a 45 mm it fits the wrist very well. I have been a fan of PVD/DLC watches for years and this is the best design I've seen. My only request to Blancpain is
I have to assume the DLC coating on the Trofeo Chrono is the same on the all-black FF. I was close to ordering a custom alcantara strap because I think the strap material offers a good contrast with the black case of the watch. So now I am particularly interested in the BP OEM strap. The shade of th
Actually, it would be perfect for the DLC FF. See below the pic of the strap on the DLC Chrono. I have a PVD Panerai and wear a black strap with it and it's a great combo.
Thanks for the picture. As soon as I saw it and the specs for the Trofeo Chrono, I knew it would be a great strap for the DLC'd FF. Has anyone bought the strap and buckle alone yet? Any price to be quoted? I have an email again into the boutique in NYC.
