Jaeger-LeCoultre: That is terrible, but great ending!

I cringe to think of how many nice pieces end up literally being thrown in the trash can.

Horological Meandering: Who was the younger guy with the glasses...

...at the MontBlanc display? Was he one of the factory employees? It was a very nice evening, glad I went!

Horological Meandering: I was specifically excluding IWC and JLC...

...as they seem to be out on their own. Thanks for information on the ones in the area. Might be an interesting map to show where the major watch companies are geographically.

Horological Meandering: Wonderful! Not the department store Seiko American's know!

I hope I get a job with a Japanese company so I have a good excuse to buy one!

Horological Meandering: Which companies are located in these areas?

If I am not mistaken, JLC, IWC, and a few others are more isolated from other manufacturers.

Jaeger-LeCoultre: The wear is the issie, the finish is wearing off...

...it has gone from a nice maroon color, so a matte near-black, and does not looks so good now. Structurally, the strap is fine, it is just cosmetically ugly.

A. Lange & Söhne: If the dial was not enough...

...there is even a mini bicycle chain in the back to look at!

Jaeger-LeCoultre: That is one reason I purchased the Tutima.

As much as I like the JLC, I needed something I could knock around a bit and not feel bad. I guess I will just go for an OEM replacement and deal with it. Thanks for the advice.
