Rolex: 116520 - yes same caliber but unchanged no

The 116520 is the SS designation for the post-zenith caliber and has been so for a while. Starting with the V series though, there have been some cosmetic changes to the buckle - minor. By the way, does anyone know what annual productions are on the 116520?

F.P. Journe: Platinum versus Gold

Given that Platinum and Gold prices are roughly the same nowadays, it seems the premium for Platinum watches is a bit of a scam....??? Factor in the different tooling machinery costs required for platinum casing blah blah but it still doesn't compute....
