I have the reference since a while on the radar and had lately more time to look into it. It appears that the first production year (at least) 1999 or « A series » featured a more interesting dial with the platinum texture being more rough, which captures

That was something when this watch was released in 1999. In France, everybody went crazy for it. And rightly so. With its platinum bezel and dial, it was and still is a very special one. Chic cool. Best, Nicolas

... detail I love most is the incredible frosted surface of its dial. It makes for the awesomeness of this watch. I got the 16622 as well. A strong favorite! Love your shot as well as an old wrist shot of yours which shows it with a red shirt in my memory
