Adding to my original posting. PVD is a 9BT model. Last of the tritium dials although I don't know if the dive models were still allowed to use it up to a point before discontinuing. The logo is an original G series of 500 pieces. Some owners had theirs D

Why do these independent/micro-brand limited runs have to be so full of controversy.

Some thoughts about an old friend: Panerai PAM 199 Regatta.

The PAM 199, the Submarsibe Regatta, was in my collection as soon as it was unveiled, in 2004. It was a limited edition of 500 pieces, and as every LE from Panerai, at that time, a quite hot model. The PAM 199 is a Submersible, with a dedicated case back,

Panerai PAM 790 / PAM 791: Radiomir 1940 47 mm.

I think it is an original, as the weight and quality of the steel is different from the Tudor BB. It reminded me of the steel of my old Kermit. Other tell tale signs: 1) correct serial number on rehaut and warranty (from the AD in New Zealand) 2) Proper b

Sharing a recent arrival to the Panerai stable...

Pam 1055 Verde Militare. I run on this watch unexpectedly yesterday. I confess had not paid much attention to this model when it was launched a few months ago as an Special Limited Edition of just 500 pieces available through the Panerai web site only. I

No flames , I used to be a fan

Panerai - PAM01055

As we all probably know, Panerai have a rekindled love for the Submersible and the range has been increased further with this new limited edition of 500 pieces. Personally I like it and the “military” colour choice makes sense for Panerai. I would have pr

A blast from the Past: Panerai Pre Vendome 5218-203/A.

of which there are 500 to 600 tops, the Pre-V are the...historical...ones. Somewhat "historical" are also the Pre-A (produced in 1997, year of the purchase from Vendome, but with all left over materials and components from Panerai) Of all the historical,

white dial and blue indices / numbers .... a combo you never see

Inspiration was the 1993 - 1995 SLYTECH DAYLIGHT 5218-207/A. A watch of which only 4 exist. Sylvester Stallone ordered 41 of these but at the ende did not like the blue and returned 37 of them back to Panerai asking to change the dial into one with black
