AP watches identification

Good evening, dear Users, My mother in law showed me today three watches belonging to her late husband. Two of them are Audemars Piguet, probably daring back to the Sixties (?), at least one of them bought in Zermatt, Switzerland. Although not for sale, w

I nearly had a 1940s chrono

but missed the auction. If you can find me one, I will give a lot to have one lol! The XXL time only one is a VZSS caliber watch from the 1940s/50s - it is the caliber that dufour based his simplicity on. They are crazy rare and have a cult following.

The AP collection is starting to actually look like a collection! Also, the Roger Dubuis seems to have snuck in there . Lighting was awful there, best I could do! We have: 1) AP Tourbillon Automatique RdM 2) RO 5402SA 3) AP 25720BA 4) Waterproof prototype

What does a Royal Oak expert have to do with this discussion?

I have shown multiple examples of very similar (if not identical) models with similar case numbers, and yet for some unknown reason you fail to understand that they are typical of those models and period. I have also shown another misaligned example, and

Quintessential Calatrava-style vintage AP

Having just received this recent acquisition back from – ahem – independent servicing, I couldn't be more pleased. As the title of the post suggests, this model, to my mind and eye, embodies all of the classic design elements of the Calatrava line of watc

Thank you, Michael...

I appreciate your thoughtful response, though we will have to agree to disagree on a few points. As to this question: " Aside from the cost, is there a reason why you would not want that done while the watch was there? " my answer is twofold. First, while
