My vote would go to Lang & Heyne Georg

Photo credit: Lang&Heyne The case design and details are just gorgeous and that movement was the reason for me to fall in love with watches.

Four Germans get together in Irvine

I had the enormous pleasure of meeting up with an enthusiast if Independent watchmaking, whom I’ve conversed with over the past 6 years online. We got to enjoy a couple of hours of horology geeking out and he had some stunning pieces to share. Amongst the

Lang & Heyne Georg.

Exquisite is the word. Maybe deliciously outdated, too. But a watch full of charm, and be careful, the movement is a killer! A shot to let you see the decoration of the case: And the killer movement! Best, Nicolas

Yes, a new chrono is coming

Sadly for me, it won’t be the Albert. Which when knowing the story behind it, who made it and why, means so much. The direction change is understandable given the ownership structure and management style. For me, fundamentally the shift from when Marco wa

experience with the Georg but it is so beautiful, especially from the back. I did customize a Friedrich III and IIRC there was a little delay in the delivery time (Indicated=10 months, Actual=13 months). The overall experience was very positive - from the

Sorry not an owner but I do think the Lang & Heyne Georg is really beautiful from both sides.

I wasn't even aware of this company until Bruno M2's great report post on them, but I really like and appreciate the fact that you are able to truly customise a watch to what you want. The only thing that bothers me about this watch is that it does indeed

You buy it for the movement, though might not be the best case

I’ve never tried it on but this is clearly NOT a thin, elegant (and bit boring) watch like a Calatrava or JLC extra flat. The Georg plays in another league, as I wrote yesterday in another thread the bridges are THE benchmark.

The Georg was my first L&H....

Mine was made to order in standard spec as I wanted it in RG with matching gold lancet hands. The one I saw at the AD was a WG with blue hands. I was only considering to add a cabochon to the crown which did not happen in the end due to the cost. I could

Interesting

I didn't like the triple lugs on the round Lang & Heyne watches I tried, but for some reason they look ok on the Georg to me, but I haven't seen one in-person. The sizing comment is a little concerning. My wrist is about 6.5 or so. So pretty avg... does e

Stunning watch, but it wears big

I tried it on a few years ago because i love the movement layout and finishing in the georg….but it looked very large on my skinny 6.25” wrists. Additionally, i wasn’t a big fan of the triple lugs. It makes the watch case more pronounced and draws attenti
