I didn’t like the previous 5227s.. but for the salmon version, they make the bezel abit thicker.. I think it did wonders to the look.. The issue it I find the hands and markers to be really black.. it was quite jarring when I tried it..

Calatrava perfection! Each with their majestic charm! While the 5227G is (for me at least) the more rugged and practical younger brother, the 6196P remains my favourite. Not because of the metal, but the simplicity to which heightens its romanticism.

And I find this version absolutely desirable. I couldn't say which I prefer, this one or my 5227g-001. 🤔

And whilst I was underwhelmed last year with the small seconds I really love the 5227 on my wrist. The proportions due to the lugs work much better for me and the dial looks so much better in its layout than with the small seconds. Actually this is crazy

I also thought I would not like the 6196 until I tied it on. Now I am thinking of getting it and rotating out my 5296.

even if I feel a little differently. I wanted to love the 6196, but it didn't speak to me when I tried it on... Again, just a personal feeling.
