Indeed, 18 years, since 2008!

The original Cab Tourb models -- the 703.025 (platinum) and 703.032 (rose gold) -- were not limited editions. They were readily available for years. But I'm sure Lange knew at the time that these would never generate many sales due to their price point. T

Agreed as to size, but the proportions seem off to me.

1:1.4 on the original, 1:1.33 on the tourbillon. And yet, because of the dial layout on the tourbillon, it actually looks fatter (more square) than the original. The tourbillon's busy dial also strikes me as inelegant. I think Lange did the complicated Ca

Agreed: the overall size on the revivals is too large and the proportions look wrong.

Besides that, the various dial apertures (besides the date) don’t sit well with me. I would love to see the Cabaret come back in the original case. That was perfection.

My answer to Tony's post: mixed feelings

Here's my answer to Tony 's post: Look what Lange came out with A. Lange & Söhne brings the Cabaret back to life , with a tourbillon and in honeygold , if you please! This could be wonderful news. But let me show you right away why I think it isn't as won

Can't disagree!

My rose gold Cabaret is among my very favorite watches, Lange or otherwise, and I don't think any Tank, Gondolo, or Reverso variant I've seen matches/beats it for case complexity and movement finishing. So, so sad Lange gave up on it.

Lange & Sohne Cabaret. The king of rectangular watches?

There are some stars in this category, such as the Cartier Tank, the Jaeger Lecoultre Reverso, and... The Patek 5100. But if we compare the movements, in terms of finishings, I only see two of them: The Cabaret and the 5100. Images borrowed on the net. I

What a beautiful and classy looking A. Lange & Söhne Cabaret Moonphase.

I think the case design with its levels really adds to the overall look and separates it from a lot of other rectangular watches as does the correctly shaped movement. I much prefer it on a leather strap as I think the bracelet makes it a little too loud

The Cabaret Moonphase

The A. Lange & Söhne Cabaret Moonphase , intorduced in 2004 and discontinued in 2009 is a very rare bird and finding nice photos of it is difficult. Below is the pink gold variant (ref. 118.032 / LSLS1184AD ) owned and worn superbly by @mu_watch49 . The c

Yes, definitely.

But I’ve recently realized that ALS is a brand that I admire more than I truly feel attracted to it. I think I could be attracted to the Cabaret or even the Arkade, but otherwise there’s always something kind of missing for me: the round “universal” case
