Panerai 47 mm Beasts: PAM 127 and 267.

The Fiddy, PAM 127 was issued in 2002, in a LE of 1950 pieces, housing a good old UNITAS movement, while the PAM 267 was unveiled in a LE of 6 pieces, in 2008, with its vintage 8 days movement, the Angelus 240. 2 blasts from the Past, for sure. Best, Nico

The originals were assembled in the 1960s...

with left-over parts from the production of the so-called 'transitional' 3646 with Angelus 240 movements (the very first watches to feature 'Luminor' dials). There are two original pieces, one in the Panerai archives and one in a private collection. The t

Most of these watches were found with sword hands.

The same hands can also be found in Angelus alarm and table clocks from the era. Some time ago, Richemont bought the old Panerai premises where the workshop was located (Villino Panerai) and the other day they found a bunch of Angelus 240 parts, a NOS Ang

Totally made-up watch

Wrong dial for this type of watch plus all hands are fake. 4-liner dials were only used in mod. 3646s with welded lugs and 6152/1s without crown guard, both from the mid 1960s. These watches were made to introduce and showcase the new tritium-based Lumino

For a noble cause ( UNESCO ). 47 mm platinum case, sapphire glass ( you can change for a plexy ), andI understood that you could also change the see through case back for a solid one ( to be checked ). Inside is beating a vintage Angelus movement, with a

I found this picture on the Web....

and decided is well worth "sharing" it, in these pages. You don't get to see 2...superstars...like these ones in the same frame too often The 203 and 267 utilize the same vintage Angelus 240, 8dd p.r. movement. Only few years back (and not many at that) y

Thank you again!

Some here might disagree. I would say the 127 is one of the best modern Panerai creations. I have learned that the Fiddy is an almost identical replica of the modified 6152/1 with angelus 240 movement. For sure I personally have never seen another Luminor

That's not correct....

they didn't JUST cross. The first Panerai, the second, third and so on, until 1993 were all ROLEXES, with the exception of the..dial (but the dial of the first Panerai produced was ALSO the Rolex's "California" one. The Rolex model 3646 was produced EXCLU
