Longines 30 CH, Breitling RCAF and Mathey Tissot. 3 superb vintage Chronographs.

All manual winding. All great characters. Alas, the Mathey Tissot is no longer with me, as it went to a very friendly house. Best, Nicolas

An old Mathey Tissot Chronograph.

Long gone, but not forgotten, and in a splendid house. 38 mm steel case, radium dial and hands. From the late 40's, early 50's. Screw in case back: Good old Valjoux movement. These vintage Chronos are just awesome. Best, Nicolas

Mathey Tissot Chronograph from the 40's. An old love of mine.

Not in my collection anymore, but sill in my mind. With its impeccable big case ( 38 mm ) and this two-tone dial, its pointed hands, it had a lot of charm. Aaah, these vintage Chronographs! Best, Nicolas

Another marvel from the past: Mathey Tissot Chronograph.

Small, but beautiful ( circa 33 mm ). Look at this dial with these oversized sub dials and its step bezel. Very much my taste. Inside, a Valjoux 23: Another of my horological regrets... I should have grabbed it rather than taking pictures... Best, Nicolas

Mathey Tissot Chronograph form the 40's. Gone but not forgotten.

Some years ago, I had to let some of my pieces go, to fund some important watch projects... One of those which have gone is this superb Mathey Tissot: The size was great ( 38 mm ), the dial was awesome, and the movement common for a watch from this era (

A last picture of my Mathey Tissot Chronograph.

It left my collection some months ago for a very nice home. Which doesn't mean that I didn't like it. 38 mm case, which blends elegance and character, a top dial, and a nice movement ( Valjoux 22, if I remember correctly ). These vintage chronographs are

Mathey Tissot Chronograph: A last picture to say goodbye.

It will go to a friendly house. If I didn't have to fund a soon to come new watch and to try to find a solution to save for the Duometre, I wouldn't let it go. A superb dial, a very nice case, and a nice movement. The winning cocktail which you sometimes

Mathey Tissot Chronograph. Heads or Tails?

Big size Chronograph ( 38 mm, which was, at that time, a considered as a big size ), Valjoux 22 inside, which obviously needs a good service. Late 40ies, or early 50ies, I cannot say, but not the kind of chronograph you will see everyday. Very much my tas

A quick picture of the Mathey Tissot Chronograph.

A shot taken with my Nokia Lumia 920. Not very happy with the outcome, but I am in the wait to get my 2 Leica back from service and repair. Much happier with th Watch, which is not commonly seen, here and there. A superb and very sober / clean dial, a cas

Mathey Tissot Chronograph: A picture of a very nice Vintage Chrono.

I cannot say it is a quick picture as I took my time to take it. I love the way the focus is on the front part of the picture. As for the chronograph, I will post a review on it, later in the summer. But I love a lot of dtails on this Watch. A strong cas
