I only saw a few, very few of them... 3 or 4, including my ex one. Credit unknown, but I will happily credit on request. I find it uber fascinating. Best, Nicolas
Panerai definitely did a great job with the PAM 5218. In my opinion, it is one of the most thrilling watch they made for these 15 last years, along with the 372, the 587, the 662 and some other impossible to find, such as the 1346 Guido Panerai & Figlio,
A rare bird, which was part of Alan's ( Hammer) collection. A nicely balanced dial with the 4th Slytech line. 42 mm case. The box is not the good one, as it should be much bigger, but hey... They never released the 500 pieces. Best, Nicolas
..if truth be said. The Slytech, if you noticed, has one of the busiest dials in a Panerai. The only redeeming feature of the Slytech it's being a Pre-V and part of the Florentine history.
Since Tritium was stopped in year 2000, although Panerai seemed continue selling watches with Tritium for a few years longer (someone said a 2005 Slytech model still had a T dial). Also, Panerai went through a huge popularity cycle in the 2000-2012 years.
