I considered trading in my 5110P for a 5230P for a while.....

....But now I'm certain. The 5110P is a keeper. I deliberately wore it for a few days straight, and I enjoy every glance at this wonderful watch. The proportions of the case and its elegance are simply unbeatable. I also like the new cases. But they still

The Patek world timers — all of the them— rightfully get a lot of love here.

As many here may recall, I owned a 5110p and for many years it was a love affair. But I found myself wearing it less and less because my lifestyle caused me to gravitate more to sport watch, especially when traveling. Also, the size of the 5110 became les

Welcome 5230P

Dear collector friends, I did it! After considering your advice, I went ahead with the trade, and I couldn’t be happier. I fell in love with the 5230P and felt it was the right choice to part with a few watches that I wasn’t using as much. Whether this tu

To buy a watch, I always have to sell a watch

And yes sometimes one has to sell more than one watch. I always ask myself a question - if I love a watch, it will not be sold even if I lust after another. But if I only like a watch, it will not remain in my collection for long irrespective of whether t

Me and the 5230P dilemma

I’m facing a bit of a dilemma. I want to refresh my collection and add something new, but there are a few watches I don’t use that I also can’t seem to part with. Two are German, and one is Swiss. None of them are particularly rare or limited edition, so

Great post and I couldn't agree more...

Do you mind sharing what reference the beautiful platinum (?) Calatrava below the special 5196P Salmon has? Patek's home runs in the looks department have been far and between over the past 10+ years. 5230P is up there, 5740/1G as well, and 5170P was love

I have seen it in the flesh.

Nice to have a date function with the WT. Overall i find the dial a tad too busy and personally have difficulty trying to read off everything without glasses. What’s perhaps a bummer is the printed dial. As rightfully put by my AD, price of this new WT is

Thanks Gordon for posting some of the new watches and showing more daring strap possibilities. I am a huge Patek fan. It pains me to write that I am extremely disappointed

by all the “new” offerings you show which are mostly rehashes of existing references in different metals/dial colors, none of which I find to be particularly creative or appealing. All the dials are basically the same except for a different color. Compare

Love it.

Huge congrats, I recently purchased my first Patek having bought the 5811 at the end of December and have fallen head over heels for the brand (previously only ever owning Rolex). I have already shortlisted this piece and the 5230P World time as my next p
