That is a very interesting Speake-Marin Openworked Dual Time.

So far I had mainly only seen the Piccadilly line of watches and this one looks nice, but unlike you I find the dial colour a bit too washed out for my taste. I also have to say that whilst I do actually like the watch I really don't think it is bringing

Speake-Marin - Piccadilly - Openworked Dual Time

Speake-Marin has always had an odd way of pairing a respectful nod to traditional watchmaking with a modern, design-driven approach. There’s something quite Anglo-Helvetian about it all. England and Switzerland each have storied pasts. Each country is str

I thought highly of the steel openworked, especially with the

contrast between the color of the dial and the bracelet ! On the wrist, the heft was also very good and it must have come from the materials for the dial. Naturally the ceramic one was great ! The yellow gold was a "heavy" hitter heft wise

Probably have a list longer than the availability...

If anything I am assuming that there will be some production of openworked 5135 Calibres dedicated to this series, which must be taking from an already limited production in other series. Anyway just impressive to deliver this level of customization! Chee

Platinum takes this to another level, WOW!

I do wonder how this compares to VC’s openworked perpetual pieces in platinum.🤔 Perhaps the VC can be considered more elegant, based simply on case shaping. But comparing at a technical/movement level would be harder. Having both is always the best soluti

Yes and no

The bridges and such are basically the same. Albeit, the running seconds on this is more a 3 starred propeller versus a single second hand at 10. The main plate is scalloped as you can see instead of the rehaut/chapter ring on the normal openworked pieces

This is an excellent piece to wear at the launch party of your next rap album😎😉

Seriously, this is an amazing openworked version, but it seems to demand a certain style and attitude of the person who wears it. Actually, the piece itself may have a transformative effect on the wearer. It really is a powerful work of art IMHO.

This is the one at top of my list!

I waiver between this one and Michael’s version with blued mechanics. But I think this is a little more intriguing as it’s all black, which I love in addition to openworked dial. Is this still in production?? Please let us know about the wearing experienc

Congrats!

One of my dream watches. When does it arrive? Would love to see pics and a write up. I think the watch looks completely different openworked in the best way possible. Not huge on the normal VC Overseas but once openworked...the shape just works so much be

Re: Equation of time

The Gyro1 has a running equation of time complication. A regular EoT watch needs you to manually add/minus the 15 minutes to get actual solar time. But a running EoT shows the actual solar time directly on the dial for convenience. This is more complex as
