I would agree that things tend to be more accentuated

and therefore less refined in many modern models. And the 5565 is certainly a good case for this argument. One (very limited and incomplete) element of explanation could be that newer models/designs are made with photography in mind and that refinement is

It really depends on the model and the typography of the numerals.

For example, I’m really happy that VC chose a Roman XII and VI for the Cornes de Vache, but I’m also very happy that Chopard chose Arabic numerals for the Quattro Spirit 25. Best choice in each particular case, imo. And, as far as Laurent Ferrier is conce
