This is not correct in any aspect…

… your statement made me reach out to Blancpain and they made abundantly clear that all their movements are made and finished in either Le Sentier or Le Brassus. They also pointed out that this will not change. CHH are producing some movement components l

I've owned a Léman Flyback for over twenty years...

And I so much love the design language that I now have three more. A time and date only in 18k, a triple date moonphase and a Timezone. All four with different dials which give them completely different characters. I too have wondered why they have discon

Tim, thanks for sharing this email with us. This ultimately raises more questions in my eyes.

It sounds like Blancpain's definition of hand finishing when it comes to anglage is what's practiced in the Le Brassus farmhouse, utilizing metal files and Gentian wood, time honored hand laid bevels. It also appears that this is only practiced on "high c

I got back my 3-6-9-12 Fifty Fathoms...

Finally I got back my 3-6-9-12 Fifty Fathoms from the vintage studio in Le Brassus after 2 years of waiting (and it was worth waiting for). Only technically service was done. Great Service again from Blancpain. You get back the watch with a fully service

Now, that is a hot take!

There is one guy on WatchUSeek that says if this is a genuine Blancpain. However, this is not the modern Blancpain (in Le Brassus). Instead, this watch is from the old Blancpain (in Villeret - hence the "Rayville"). Now I really want to know how much "Ray

A new Blancpain website is online

Here is the link: The collections are streamlined, the former Le Brassus timepieces are now part of the Villeret line. Leman and L’Evolution lines are no longer featured. There are sufficient details on every watch, but only one photo for each reference.

Desk Diving Today!

Haven’t worn this in a while. It’s been overboard during the summer but in the safe for a few weeks recently. I’ve just purchased a PAM 933 Mediterraneo - can’t have too many blue sunray dial dive watches! I’ve been invited to a Manufacture tour in Le Bra

Blancpain must have recently discounted their Le Brassus Split Second Flyback Perpetual model...........

I was on Blancpain's website this morning and noticed that the watch wasn't posted there anymore although they do still have the tourbillon version on their website. This watch has always been one of my favorite Blancpain's, they produced the watch for at

How to properly deal with heritage timepieces: a visit to the Blancpain Vintage Atelier

On my wishlist for further exploration, a visit to the Vintage Atelier at Blancpain in Le Brassus was very high up... and now I had the chance to meet with the team that takes care of all Blancpain timepieces prior to 1981. And of course I’d like to take
