Lovely Omega!

Did you know that starting in 1932 at the Olympics in Los Angeles Omega was the first brand to be assigned the responsibility for all timing of the events. You can Google more info. Interesting. Here’s a Seamaster from the late 40’s

Some live shots of the new Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris Date 40mm . . .

One of JLC’s ‘quiet releases’ this Watches & Wonders: In fact, the boutique’s sales associate was surprised I knew about the piece, which was not on display but hidden in a drawer. I asked if there was a rubber strap option. She said not at this time

They are both wonderful. The engine is as smooth and torquey as they get. You can start from any gear, no jerking, no nothing. It is a diamond of an engine. And air cooled. The whole bike is as old school and handcrafted as they get. Handmade tank

. . . and if your watchmaker can't find what he needs please send me a pm. Good call on employing a local watchmaker - Omega's pretty good when it comes to specific requests regarding case polishing but they will replace hands and crowns if they don't mee

. . . please join me in congratulating him . . . . . . on the accomplishment. If there was an American James Bond, Tony would be . . . . . . the archetype. Art

That is a lovely looking vintage Omega Seamaster De Ville with a great dial and even more special due to its history with your family.

I don't think it should be that difficult to find virtually any of the parts you may need to restore it at least the last time i was looking most if not all the parts were still available via an Omega account. I hope it doesn't take too long and that you

My Grandfather's Watch

I recently dropped this off with a local expert in vintage repair & restoration. My father attempted to have it, "serviced", unfortunately ignoring my advice and he took it to a strip-mall jeweler that was known more for cheap battery replacements. an

Omega CK 2179.

No need to be a Seamaster, a Railmaster or a Speedmaster to be desirable. This one is simple, but has a timeless charm. Best, Nicolas
